RULES AGE: The age of an individual on Dec. 1, 2006 is maintained the entire year. For horsed show purposes, a horse becomes one year old on January following actual foaling date. REGISTRY NUMBER and full registered name is required for entry in classes for registered horses. Papers or a photocopy must be presented. ENTRIES must be in writing, signed by owner/authorized agent, and accompanied by proper fees. Parent/ Guardian must sign the entry of a junior exhibitor. Pre Entries are accepted until September 15t.h When three classes are entered all others will be considered pre entries also. Anything after that date will be a POST ENTRY. CHECKS RETURNED FOR ANY REASON INCUR A $30.00 SERVICE CHARGE and future entries will be by money order or cash only. POST ENTRIES will be accepted at an additional rate as posted on the entry blank over regular fee, and must be made before the preceding class enters the ring. OPEN CHECKS FOR POST ENTRIES will be accepted, with understanding that classes once entered will be charged. SCRATCHED CLASSES WILL NOT BE DEDUCTED FROM THE AMOUNT OWINGEVEN IF YOU HAVE AN OPEN CHECK. REFUND OF ENTRY FEES (less an office fee of $25.00 or 10% of the entry fee, which ever is greater) will be made on receipt of a veterinarian’s certificate specifying the exact nature of the disability, and must be presented prior to the horse’s first class. Refund checks will be mailed unless applied towards another entry. Entries are not refunded for any other Reason, including weather or natural disasters. JUDGES: No one shall approach a Judge; until he/she first obtains permission from show committee or steward, who shall arrange an appointment at a proper time and place. THE DECISIONS OF A JUDGE IS FINAL. CONDUCT: Show management reserves the right to refuse any entry of an exhibitor or the participation of any agent, trainer, rider, or driver who has shown an objectionable attitude toward a recognized show or previous display of poor sportsmanship at a recognized show or to its management. Abuse, either physical or verbal, to show personal, show officials, Trainers, Exhibitors, or animals will not be tolerated at this show. Any reported abuse will be investigated, and upon verification by show management, the person/persons will be eliminated from further competition at this show, will forfeit all unused fees, and will be barred from the show grounds. PROTESTS: Any rider, driver, owner, agent, trainer or parent of a junior exhibitor may file a protest with the show, it must be made in writing, signed by protestor, accompanied with a deposit of $50.00, addressed to the secretary of the competition at which the alleged violation occurred, within 48 hours of the alleged violation, OR may be made directly to the horse show director, accompanied with $50.00 deposit and received within 5 business days following the last recognized day of the competition. A deposit will be refunded in the event the protests in upheld. CHANGES: Show management reserves the right to combine/cancel classes with fewer then 3 entries; to accept entries for unfilled classes at regular fee; to divide classes as entries warrant; to substitute listed officials. Exhibitors will be advised if classes are combined, cancelled or split. NUMBERS: Exhibitors must appear in the ring suitably attired, with correct number on their back or on each side of the saddle pad, clearly visible to the judge at all times when in competition. Entries with incorrect or missing numbers may be eliminated. GATE HOLDS are limited to the horses/riders in consecutive classes, and shall not exceed 3 minutes. In classes where horses compete collectively, the in gate may not be closed sooner than 2 minutes after the last horse exits the ring from the previous class unless all entries for the next class are present. An official timer will be appointed. NO HORSE WILL ENTER THE ARENA ONCE THE GATE IS CLOSED. AWARDS: Each exhibitor will receive an award 1-8th Points count back to your WSH High score awards and/or zone if approved by your zone. The two judges scores will be combined and the State Finals Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded. Championships will be determined by combining the scores of the two judges the call judge shall be listed on the prize list being the call judge and tiebreaker. Points 1st-5, 2nd-3, 3rd- 2, 4th-1, DOGS: All dogs must be on a leash. Dogs are not allowed in the arena area. STABLING: Stalls are available from 4:00 P.M. the Thursday prior to the show through the end of the show. First bedding is provided only, additional bedding is available for a $5.00 fee. CAMPER AND TRAILER PARKING is available first come first serve basis without reservations. Hook up sights are only available with a pre entry reservation. ANYONE PARKED IN A CAMPING HOOKUP SPOT WILL BE CHARGED.
Washington State Finals Benefit Show Is operated in accordance with the current rules of WASHINGTON STATE HORSEMEN Horse Show Division Of which body is a "B" System Show Every person who participates in the show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the Association Rules. Members can receive a copy of the Canter, a WSH Publication, or look on line www.wshorsemen.com And are entitled to participate in the Annual High Score Award Competition, if horse is recorded and participation fees are paid for the current year. NO POINTS WILL BE COUNTED TOWARD THE ANNUAL HIGH SCORE AWARDS before membership dues are paid, horses have been recorded with WSH and all fees paid. THE STEWARD OF THIS SHOW WILL HAVE FORMS FOR RECORDING AND PARTICIPATION.
